The AGRAVIS Group produces more than three million tonnes of compound feed per year in its own regional plants. This output is significantly more than four million tonnes if affiliated companies in Germany and other countries are included. As a partner to farmers, AGRAVIS offers sustainable, innovative feed concepts, such as those which contain nutrients.
Münster
The feed plant in Münster, which AGRAVIS operates together with 19 regional Raiffeisen cooperatives, as do the Dorsten, Lingen and Wiesbaden sites, has silo buildings with a capacity of 32,000 cubic meters and a storage capacity for finished goods of 10,000 cubic meters. The six different mixing lines can produce up to a maximum of 125 tons of mixed feed per hour. The largest of them manages 60 tons per hour. The annual tonnage is over 450,000 tons. Ten pressing lines are available on site for the production of pelleted feeds. The finished product is discharged at seven loading lanes. The capacity for self-loading of the goods is 120 tons per hour. With fast loading, the capacity increases to 300 tons per hour. Dorsten
At the Dorsten site, the company has storage capacity for raw materials totaling around 36,000 cubic meters. The finished product warehouse has a capacity of about 4,000 cubic meters. The three mixing lines can produce up to a maximum of 55 tons of compound feed per hour. Five presses are available for the production of pelleted feeds. The finished product is discharged at three loading lanes. The capacity for self-loading of the goods is 100 tons per hour. The annual production volume reaches about 280,000 tons.
Wiesbaden
At the Wiesbaden production site, which is located directly on the Rhine, about 700 tons of feed are produced daily on two blending lines. The plant has two ship berths. There, 50 tons of raw materials can be unloaded every hour. Oil extraction meal is also handled. The product range of the Wiesbaden plant includes compound feeds for pigs, cattle, poultry and horses. Annual production capacity is around 200,000 tons of compound feed. Up to 20,000 tons of raw material and around 3,000 tons of finished product can be stored at the Wiesbaden plant. On average, 90 batches of finished product leave the plant on the Rhine every day. Bagged products can be stored on an area of around 2,900 square meters - equivalent to around 2,000 pallet spaces.
Neuss
At the production site in Neuss harbor on the Rhine, 800 tons of feed can also be produced daily in three-shift operation. The annual production capacity is around 200,000 tons. 900 different recipes are used. The production range includes compound feeds for cattle, pigs, poultry and horses. Approximately 10,000 tons of raw materials and 4,000 tons of finished products can be stored in silos. At the ship unloading point in Neuss harbor, ships can be unloaded at a rate of 100 tons per hour. A special feature in Neuss is also a bagging facility and palletizing in a shipping warehouse for special feed with a capacity of 600 bags per hour.

The production range in Minden comprises compound feed for pigs, cattle and poultry plus premixes and different mineral feeds. Some 1,000 tonnes are produced in a three-shift operation – that’s around 250,000 tonnes a year. Around 1,600 different feed formulas are used. The location boasts waterway and railway links. The plant’s landing stage can handle around 100 tonnes per hour. Freight trains can be loaded or unloaded on site at a rate of 150 tonnes per hour.
Storage capacities total around 31,000 tonnes. The finished goods warehouse has a capacity for around 6,500 tonnes. The produced goods are dispatched via four loading lanes with an average of 150 consignments handled and an average customer consignment weighing six tonnes. The loading capacity is 300 tonnes per hour.

Feedstuff has been produced over 80,000 square metres of space here since 1936 with 42 employees working in a daily three-shift operation. The Oldenburg location features two landing stages with a clearing rate of 100 tonnes per hour each. 40,000 tonnes can be stored on the premises. Two mixing lines produce a maximum of 850 tonnes of compound feed each per day. The production range includes feed for pigs, game, cattle, poultry, horses and rabbits. The range offers 1,500 different formulas. The Oldenburg port location also produces Crystalyx lick blocks. The feedstuff plant was expanded to include a modern production line for lick blocks in 2006. Today, 10,000 tonnes of Crystalyx products are produced based on 25 different formulas every year.
In Leer, the second AGRAVIS Kraftfutterwerk Oldenburg GmbH location produces up to 500 tonnes of feedstuff based on 450 formulas in a two-shift operation every day. Pelleted feedstuffs are pressed on three lines. Up to 1,000 tonnes can be stored on site. The finished goods are discharged to two loading lanes.
The Höltinghausen plant also belongs to AGRAVIS Kraftfutterwerk Oldenburg GmbH. Some 750 tonnes of feed can be produced daily in a three-shift operation – that makes up to 275,000 tonnes a year. The production range is centred on turkey and pig fattening feed and laying hen mash. The site offers a finished goods storage capacity of 1,230 tonnes of feedstuff. A total of 2,550 tonnes of raw materials can be stored.

Around 175,000 tonnes of feedstuff can be produced at the Braunschweig plant per year. The production range includes pig, cattle, poultry and pet food and specialities such as Agrisan (protected rapeseed meal). The plant’s two mix lines produce 72 tonnes of compound feed every hour. The plant also features four press lines. 915 formulas are available in the range. 100 tonnes can be unloaded at the two train unloading platforms. The storage capacity for raw materials totals 12,500 cubic metres. 3,200 cubic metres of finished goods can be stored in Braunschweig. Some 120 delivery consignments leave the plant every day. Each delivery consignment contains about 6 tonnes on average.
The Bremerhaven location produces cattle feed and Agrisan only. Agrisan comprises a by-product of food production, which is processed. Annual tonnage stands at about 200,000 tonnes a year. 80 tonnes of goods can be cleared per hour at the Bremerhaven landing stage. 12,000 cubic metres of raw materials can be stored in the silo building. Some 120 customer consignments leave the plant every day. One special feature at the Bremerhaven plant is the roller mill in the loading section. The roller mill and a multi-cracker help to structure raw materials.
