Field day Eldagsen: practical AGRAVIS cultivation tips
With the right decision for the ideal yield: The advisors from AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG, its subsidiaries AGRAVIS Niederachsen-Süd GmbH and AGRAVIS Technik Weser-Aller GmbH provided information at the AGRAVIS Field day in Eldagsen on Tuesday, 16 June to numerous farmers in the regional about crop cultivation and technology.

Visitors to the roughly five-hectare site were informed about various tests. The AGRAVIS advisors spoke and discussed with the farmers on various subjects, under the motto "Meeting for extra harvesters". "As a result of the new requirements in agriculture, there are many questions about Greening, Fertilising and also about spreading or using slurry and germentation residues," explains Franz Schulze Eilfing, head of the crop cultivation division at AGRAVIS Raffeisen AG.
In addition, the questions and conclusions from the extensive experiments will be explained during guided field trips. In a direct comparison – plot next to plot – the farmers were able to direclty follow the individual treatment steps. "For many people, this involves in particular the use of mineral fertilisers and the effective use of nitrogen fertilisers. In the test field it is possible to assess various infestations with fungal infections and defence options, as well as to explain variety properties in detail," says Franz Schulze Eilfing.
Apart from the crops, the selection and correct use of the respective resources and cultivation methods play an important role. Representatives of AGRAVIS TechnikWeser-Aller GmbH presented selected drill, fertilisation and crop protection techniques. "The trend is moving ever more towards Precision Farming, which is why are also presenting the Isaria sensor here, which allows a plot-specific fertilisation in grain," explains Holger Popillas, director of AGRAVIS Technik Weser-Aller GmbH.
Another AGRAVIS Field Day is taking place on Wednesday, 17 June, 3-8 pm, at the AGRAVIS test farm Kleimann, Lübbecker Strasse 361, 33739 Bielefeld. Topics are: rapeseed varieties, wheat varieties, catch crops, drilling technology, sensor technology, field spraying and organic fertiliser.
