Now lowering feed costs per kg of milk
Reheating and mould continue to be a key issue in many maize silages. These problems are often further aggravated by high nutrient density combined with unfavourable lease facilities. “Warm maize silage” doesn’t just have less energy; the feed intake also declines dramatically. This affects the feed costs by at least 2 cents per kg of milk.

Or, in a different calculation: A 5% loss in the silo means 2,000 litres of milk less per hectare. It doesn’t have to be like this. Excellent silage management combined with the use of the right silage mediums can prevent this. The right product used at the right time protects your silage.
Farmers should therefore prepare for maize silaging in time. In addition to the established organic silage mediums BioCool, SilaBon and PlantaSil, AGRAVIS now also offers RaicoSil Extra as a chemical silage medium for challenging silage conditions.
Interesting early-purchase conditions are currently available. The AGRAVIS experts will be pleased to make you an offer.
