"The U25 tour is a wonderful thing," said the delighted winner. "Of course, there is a lot of competition amongst us. The fact that I was able to take first place makes it even more pleasing." It was an extremely successful weekend for Wargers. On Saturday, during a show-jumping event in the AGRAVIS Cup she managed to win a car.
Dirk Bensmann: "Jana Wargers has consistently shown good performances over the last few months in world-ranked jumping events. She demonstrated her class this weekend during the three show-jumping events in Oldenburg. I would like to congratulate her most heartily for her deserved overall victory of the AGRAVIS Future Prize.“
AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG have increased the prize money for this award for show-jumpers under 25 years of age, and it now comes with a first prize of 10,000 euro. Also new this year: The K+K Cup in Münster, the Burgturnier in Nörten-Hardenberg, and also the AGRAVIS Cup in Oldenburg resulted in a total of nine World Cup show-jumping events in three tournaments being compiled into a points system. The Burgturnier was added to this. "We believe that the consistently good performances demonstrated by young riders in the show-jumping events at the three tournaments are worthy of special praise," stated Bensmann. The decision regarding the AGRAVIS Future Prize will now be made on an annual basis during the AGRAVIS Cup in Oldenburg.
The AGRAVIS Member of the Board of Directors drew a positive summary of the four-day indoor tournament in the EWE-Arena: "The 2016 AGRAVIS Cup delighted the audience for four days. Riders and horses impressively demonstrated the fascinating aspects of equestrian sports. It was a privilege to experience this live for us as the main sponsor and for the regional Raiffeisen co-operatives as our partners."
