She knows all about the fuels, the stock exchange and commerce - Nicole Schierhorn has been a trader for AdBlue at AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG for four years. The young woman works together with her seven colleagues in the Fuel Department in the field of energy in the AGRAVIS headquarters in Münster and, above all, she looks after her customers' supply of heating oil, fuels and AdBlue.

- Nicole Schierhorn has been an AdBlue trader at AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG for four years.
"Every day is different. When I arrive at the office, the first thing I always do is look at the stock exchange in order to get my first overview of day-to-day business," says the 31 year old. It does not take Nicole Schierhorn long to approach the subject of energy. After her apprenticeship as an industrial clerk, she worked for an energy company in Neuss and acquired her first experience in the field.
AGRAVIS was also one of her business partners in subsequent professional life in the mineral oil field and it was already then that she was able to imagine work there. Just a short while later, Nicole Schierhorn, born in Saxony-Anhalt, came to Münster. "AGARVIS is an attractive employer, with whom you can develop and also where your own ideas have appeal. It is a good feeling to be a part of this company." Experience in business is extremely valuable. During the four years at AGRAVIS, the energy expert has already experienced particular challenges.
Warehouse as saving anchor
"I can remember exactly how last year all AdBlue manufacturers carried out a revision simultaneously. The AdBlue supply of our mineral oil partners needed to be guaranteed and we had a turbulent time ahead of us, which we managed to master successfully," she remembers. Now, great caution is taken when carrying out revisions. The warehouse in Münster had always been a saving grace when goods became scarce. In one of the three storage tanks up to 100,000 litres of AdBlue is stored for customers.
No work routine without energy
Due to her good expertise, the AdBlue expert has already made a name for herself in the not only turbulent but also male-dominated field. "When customers and those interested feel that they are being well advised technically, it is easier to strengthen the business relationship," emphasis the AdBlue expert. She cannot even imagine day-to-day work without energy any more. "I believe that once you have dipped your toes into oil, you will stay true to the mineral oil field."
