The original crop production app was also a success: it was downloaded 26,000 times by farmers. Now AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG provides its customers with even greater benefits – tailored to their requirements and with versatile functions and services.
Astrid Manns, from AGRAVIS Pflanzenbau-Vertriebsberatung explains the changes and improvements: "In optical terms, we have added a few additional functions such as displaying messages in a timeline, as known from Facebook and similar sites. The most important change and the core of the app is the new fertilising weather display element." Farmers can figure out the right time for crop protection measures based on regional weather data such as relative humidity and temperature. "There are many weather apps, but we don't leave farmers to their own devices. Instead we evaluate information for them in a clear traffic light system based on our know-how", emphasised Astrid Manns.
Farmers can access information via their smartphones at any time and are informed of incoming messages via push notifications. In this case, the smartphone is an ideal medium to support contact between farmers and the customer advisers from the co-operatives and AGRAVIS.
The IQ-Plant app provides users with current cultivation recommendations and warnings from the region for all major cultures. In addition, there are tailored cultivation recommendations, an individual reminder list, and an improved calendar function. Specifications for fertilising weather is at the core of the new app.
The app is available as a download for Android and iOS with immediate effect. All information can be found here.
