Gustav Große-Gödinghaus, Sales Manager for Pig Feed at AGRAVIS Mischfutter Ostwestfalen Lippe GmbH, welcomed 170 interested sow and fattening pig breeders to the east Westphalian town for the "Think Pink" presentation by AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG and Westfleisch SCE. The product manager for pig feed at AGRAVIS, Bernhard Walgern, presented the new calculation method for the net energy content of pig feed. The outcome is a decrease in the raw protein in the feed, which in turn enables a reduction in nitrogen and greater energy efficiency. After the presentation, a lively discussion took place during which the farmers asked the feed experts countless questions on the net energy and protein reduction. In 2016, Gustav Große-Gödinghaus sees a trend towards a reduction in nutrients in the feed sector: "We need a more precise evaluation of the energy content." Around 80 farmers attended the poultry themed day and around 170 the cattle themed day, during which they were also invited to get involved in a discussion round afterwards.
The number of visitors to the AgrarKontaktTagen has increased significantly compared to the previous year. "A stand was also reserved for AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG this year," reveals Große Gödinghaus.
