Newtec Group on a growth course
The Newtec Group, which belongs to AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG, has further reinforced its market position in the regional agricultural technology trade in recent months. This was made possible by a series of acquisitions, "which we used as an opportunity to expand our sales region for New Holland agricultural machines and to reach new customers," explained Christoph Kempkes, Member of the Managing Board at AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG, during the Agritechnica.

This summer, the AGRAVIS subsidiary acquired Franz Schotte GmbH based in Duderstadt. This enabled Newtec to fill a vacancy in south-east Lower Saxony. In October, Newtec took over the agricultural technology, commercial vehicle and small equipment technology divisions at Ernst und Reiner Grantz OHG based in Cadenberge/Lower Saxony and, shortly thereafter, the former Otema sites in Schmölln (Thuringia), Lichtenau and Grimma (both in Saxony) could also be integrated into the group following approval from the independent competition authority.
Through the acquisitions, the Newtec Group now has more than 20 sites in Lower Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Brandenburg, Berlin, north Hesse, Saxony, and north Thuringia. The number of employees increased to around 500. The Newtec Group is thus one of the largest New Holland retailers in Europe.
