International agricultural technology auction in Meppen continues to break records
More than 1,980 second-hand agricultural and construction machines received a new home during the big anniversary auction in autumn 2014. Now this year's November auction is also developing into a bestseller. "We are making our plans to meet the standards of the previous year, and have therefore decided on a two-day event on 18th and 19th November 2015", says Guido Ottens, Managing Director of the AGRAVIS Technik Center GmbH , and Matthias Reßel, Sales Manager at Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers, the Canadian auction house for agricultural machines and equipment as well as industrial equipment.

Europe's largest agricultural machine auction once again provides a diverse mix on the event days consisting of tractors, combine harvesters and agricultural equipment as well as machines for the construction branch. Every machine is auctioned off as usual to the highest bidder, without prior minimum offers or fixed prices. After registration for the auction, the bidders either participate directly on site in the auction location, live online on rbauction.com or through proxy bids.
A tried and tested cooperation between Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers und AGRAVIS
Both partners have conducted auctions in Meppen together for more than ten years now. The public auction held in 2014 marked the peak so far of the consistently growing, smoothly-functioning cooperation between Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers and the AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG over the time period of ten years. Over the past years, more than 20,000 objects and equipment went under the hammer. Purchasers came from more than 60 countries across the world.
A success model with an incomparable atmosphere
The auction represents a success model for both companies, which had not yet been experienced in the agricultural sector. For the second-hand machine business by the AGRAVIS Technology Group, the stationary auction continues to be of great importance, says Guido Ottens, Managing Director of the AGRAVIS Technik Center GmbH: "The auction, with its incomparable atmosphere, is an important additional revenue pillar and simultaneously the right way to market agricultural machinery, as we thus reach new markets and countries".
Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers and AGRAVIS will present their products together at the Agritechnica 2015 in Hall 20, booth A13.
