In feed rations containing a very high percentage of corn silage it is sometimes necessary and reasonable to use feed grade urea to increase the ruminal nitrogen balance (RNB). Contrary to the use of pure urea, Vitamiral Urea Mix increases the dosing and mixing accuracy in feed rations because of the increased usage rate. Compared with the use of pure urea, the documentation obligation for the individual agricultural operation is dispensed with when Vitamiral Urea Mix is used. Due to the special carrier substance apple pomace, the product can be used in dry cattle rations.
Usage recommendation Vitamiral Urea:
- Starting with approx. 20 to 30 gram per animal and day in highly-productive cows.
- The content of 80 percent feed grade urea dictates the usage rate per cow (for example, given a usage rate of 60 gram of feed grade urea per cow and day, 75 gram of Vitamiral Urea Mix should be fed).
- When Vitamiral Urea Mix is used, an additional mineral nutrient supplement should be fed, for example Vitamiral Gelb with quantities varying between 100 and 300 gram per animal and day (on average 200 to 250 gram per animal and day).
Vitamiral is a store brand of the Raiffeisen network partners and can be purchased all over Germany from any Raiffeisen network partner, agricultural centre of AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG and BayWa agricultural location.
