Agricultural technology practical day: a glimpse behind the scenes

Thirty students from the universities of applied sciences in Soest and Osnabrück recently attended a practical day on agricultural technology agricultural technology in Lage. This was the second practical day of its kind at which students were able to network with specialists from the crop cultivation, agricultural technology and personnel divisions in addition to the Managing Director of AGRAVIS Technik Saltenbrock GmbH, AGRAVIS Technik Saltenbrock GmbH, Wilhelm Jürgens.

"It is a good opportunity for participants to gain an insight into practical aspects of agricultural technology," says Eva Sebbel, Personnel Officer at AGRAVIS. Particularly the interactive presentation by AGRAVIS NetFarming AGRAVIS NetFarming experts Christian Carl and Sebastian Henrichmann was well received by the agricultural scientists.

"We want to use a day like this to develop a closer relationship with higher education establishments and to come into contact with students early on," says Wilhelm Jürgens. Eva Sebbel then explained what AGRAVIS can offer students as an employer beyond the field of technology and what concrete career opportunities exist for students and graduates. Alexander Reeken, who has worked at AGRAVIS Technik Saltenbrock GmbH as a sales advisor in the field of agricultural technology since March, and Alexander Esselmann, who is currently "training on the job" to also become a sales advisor in the field of agricultural technology, also reported on their experiences.
