"On the right track to grow further"
Impressed and overwhelmed – this is how Christoph Kempkes describes his impressions of the Agritechnica 2015 trade fair . The Member of the Managing Board at AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG returned an invariably positive verdict of the world's largest trade fair for agricultural technology in Hanover that ended on Saturday.

"Agritechnica is and remains impressive proof of the innovative capabilities of the agricultural technology industry," says Kempkes. He is impressed with the manufacturer's versatile and future-oriented product portfolio, which "is mainly driven by the passion, expertise, affinity and innovative capabilities of the German Mittelstand". Although the volumes invested in agricultural technology are down on the previous year, the mood is better than expected. At least, this is our perception."
Profitable growth possible
"AGRAVIS has the three largest brands, namely Agco/Fendt, Claas and New Holland, under one roof, each of which has clearly distinct, exclusive sales structures." Kempkes also notes good progress with regard to the target optimisation of the supporting programme for all agricultural applications; a greater focus must be placed on technological advances. "If we do our homework, stabilise what we have achieved, continue to develop further and remain close to the customers, I see us on absolutely the right path to continue to grow profitably."
The lively new machine business last year led to a higher number of used machines. The AGRAVIS Technik group take a multi-pronged approach to boost sales of these machines and increasingly focuses on the international market. On the one hand, this takes place via the www.atc-trader.com online platform and on the other via the ab-auction.com online auction. Visitors from Germany and abroad are also drawn to Europe's largest agricultural technology auction in Meppen. AGRAVIS Technik hosts the auction twice a year in collaboration with its partner, Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers. The next auction will take place on 18 and 19 November.
Service is our speciality
The slogan " Service is our speciality " was once again the focus of the AGRAVIS Technik group's trade fair presence. "This reflects our self-perception that we like to be measured against," explains Kempkes. Thus the company considers it important to offer its customers a complete agricultural technology service package. This includes the innovative systems of the new subsidiary, AGRAVIS NetFarming GmbH . "Digitalisation is the latest buzzword. We do no promise revolutions with this though, as agriculture will remain very hard work in the future. And yet making cross-cutting advice useful digitally without any system constraints is our performance promise."
AGRAVIS as an employer
The AGRAVIS Group also used its presence in Hanover to present itself as an employer at the main stand and the new "Campus & Career" platform . "All target groups are represented at the Agritechnica. Thus we talk to schoolchildren, students, graduates and experienced specialists, and are able to inform them of career opportunities at our company." Agricultural science students were particularly interested in the fields of crop cultivation, animal feed and agricultural technology sales. The training options, trainee and internship programmes, and vacancies for specialists and managers were also enquired about.
With more than 2,900 exhibitors and around 450,000 visitors, the Agritechnica is the world's largest trade fair for agricultural machinery and equipment.
