AGRAVIS historical

AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG, based in Münster, was formed in October 2004 through the merger of Raiffeisen Central-Genossenschaft Nordwest eG (RCG) in Münster and Raiffeisen Hauptgenossenschaft Nord AG (RHG) in Hanover.
When they merged in 2004, the respective predecessor companies could already look back on a history of more than 100 years.

RCG
The RCG was formed in 1990 through the merger of the Landhandels Zentral Genossenschaft Oldenburg (LZG), the Landwirtschaftliche Zentralgenossenschaft Osnabrück (Zegeno) and the Westfälische Central-Genossenschaft eG Münster (WCG).

RHG
RHG was founded in 1893 under the company name Raiffeisen Hauptgenossenschaft eGmbH. The company was renamed Raiffeisen Hauptgenossenschaft Nord Aktiengesellschaft on its centenary in 1993 and operated under this name until its merger with Raiffeisen Central-Genossenschaft Nordwest eG (RCG).
