AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG: New Member of the Board of Directors
Maria-Johanna Schaecher will become a new Member of the Board of Directors of AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG, based in Münster and Hanover, as of 1 January 2018. The 52-year-old manager was recently appointed by the Supervisory Board of the agricultural trading and service organisation. Most recently, Schaecher was the Chief Executive Officer at Raps GmbH & Co. KG with headquarters in Kulmbach.

“With Maria-Johanna Schaecher, we at AGRAVIS gained a manager who has been successful in various national and international management positions and industries and who also has expertise in the area of trade associations,” stated Franz-Josef Holzenkamp, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of AGRAVIS.
The 52-year-old has extensive operative and strategic experience and has already proven that she can develop companies in several industries, making them more profitable with higher revenues. “We also face these challenges at AGRAVIS. We want to continue growing and establish ourselves more sustainably for the future with increased profitability. I am convinced that Maria-Johanna Schaecher will help us on this path,” said Andreas Rickmers, Chairman of the Board of Directors at AGRAVIS.
As a certified psychologist and clerk, Maria-Johanna Schaecher first gained experience at Boston Consulting before joining Campina in various positions, including as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Sales Officer. With management responsibilities at Applied Biosystems Group, Heraeus Kulzer and Johnson & Johnson Medical, she then became CEO and sole director of Raps, a company specialising in food ingredients.
The AGRAVIS Board of Directors – after Hans-Georg Bruns leaves on 30 September 2017 – will continue to consist of four persons: Andreas Rickmers as the Head of the Board of Directors, Johannes Schulte-Althoff as the Head of Finances as well as Maria-Johanna Schaecher and Dirk Bensmann as Members of the Board of Directors.
