African swine fever: Follow safety measures
According to the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL), the risk of importing African swine fever is currently very high. The pathogen has circulated among wild and domestic pigs in Eastern Europe since 2014. Sausage meats and hunting trophies imported to Germany could be potential sources of transmission.
