- 14 school pupils visited the AGRAVIS distribution centre for the "School – then what...?" event.
Firstly, three AGRAVIS apprentices and company experts explained to them about their jobs. Then they crossed the canal on foot to the AGRAVIS distribution centre on Gustav-Stresemann-Weg. 1,200,000 picking items per year are picked, loaded and transported here for the Raiffeisen Stores and the online shop raiffeisenmarkt.de by 75 employees using smartglasses and forklifts.
The "School – then what...?" event is organised every year by Wirtschaftsförderung Münster GmbH. Its aim is to give school pupils an insight into the company and show them possibilities. With a workforce of around 6,000, AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG is now offering 17 different apprenticeship professions including wholesale and foreign trading, process technology in the mill and feedstuff business and IT. The proportion of apprentices is very high at around nine percent. Many of the participating companies are part of the "Industriegemeinschaft Münster", Münster's association of industrial companies, which helps to put the industry's work in the public eye.
