Standard diesel in itself is an exchangeable mass product. This fuel reliably provides what clients expect.

Nevertheless, situations can arise in which the motor may literally come to a halt – this happens, for example, with seasonal agricultural machines which have not been used over a long period. The AGRAVIS Central Germany Mineral Oil Centre (AMZ) has therefore been distributing a premium product for a few months. The name of the product is “ECO Diesel with Premium Additive”.
Goodbye to clogged filters
“Our aim was to offer a product with exceptional properties and a unique selling point”, says Karsten Müller, Manager of the AGRAVIS Mineral Oil Centre headquartered in Querfurt. “Our agricultural clients in particular can now use a product which solves problems which may occur with conventional diesel,” according to Müller. Deposits can be avoided. Clogged filters are a thing of the past. Corrosion also occurs much less often. The additive “ERC Trak with BL-U 100” from the manufacturer Emissions-Reduzierungs-Concepte GmbH, which is added to diesel fuel and which was specially developed for diesel aggregates with a longer service life, makes exactly this possible. The product also features the DLG seal of approval and is therefore monitored continuously. “The cold start behaviour has been significantly improved”, says Karsten Müller, highlighting a specific advantage. Less wear and tear leads to a longer engine service life.
Product quality creates customer loyalty
The additive is added in a ratio of 1:1000 directly at the diesel dispenser using the tanker. Karsten Müller emphasises increased demand for the premium diesel. “The premium product now makes up more than 10 percent of the diesel sales.” “The experience of the Central Germany Mineral Oil Centre shows that a great deal of customer loyalty can also be achieved for bulk products”, says Dr Torsten Feldbrügge, Head of the Energy division at AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG. “This helps us to strengthen our regional business.”
