Good reasons for the success story

There are many reasons for the success of the auction in Meppen. Since the first collective auction in 2004, long-term partner AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG has been contributing thousands of machines. Furthermore, the AGRAVIS Technik (machinery) team supports the machine processing, as well as the auction logistics to ensure a secure and smooth procedure on-site. "The auctions in Meppen have developed since 2004 to become Europe's largest auction for farm machinery. Buyers have the opportunity here to compare machinery and to select the best-suited products from thousands for them. And as there is no minimum price the sellers are also bindingly aware that their machinery will definitely be sold on the day of the auction," reports Maximilian Wegemann, Regional Sales Manager at Richie Bros. in Meppen.

Creative concepts

"In the twelve years of its existence, the international agricultural machinery auction has not lost its attractiveness. Quite the contrary in fact: we have an international audience in Meppen that knows to expect a wide range of products. Furthermore, many foreign traders use the auction as a platform for machinery marketing," states Guido Ottens, Managing Director at AGRAVIS Technik Center GmbH, which has specialised itself in the marketing of second used farm machinery as the subsidiary of AGRAVIS. Active and innovative marketing is an important pillar of the agricultural technology industry, along with customer orientation and service. In the meantime, Europe’s biggest farm machinery auction is a creative concept that has created an excellent reputation for itself.
