Stefan Schmeink becomes state winner and national fourth

State win is a family affair: Stefan Schmeink, who successfully completed his apprenticeship as an agriculture and construction machinery mechatronic engineer with AGRAVIS Technik Saltenbrock GmbH, a subsidiary of AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG, is the second state winner of NRW in the Schmeink family. Two years ago his brother, Tobias, held the title.

Stefan Schmeink completed his apprenticeship at AGRAVIS in Steinheim. His teacher, as with his brother Tobias, was Rudolf Düwel. Düwel also prepared the 20 year old for the regional competition at the German Agricultural Technology Training School (DEULA) in Warendorf.

The award ceremony took place at the end of October in a dedicated ceremony in Dortmund. 83 state winners of various trades were awarded. Stefan Schmeink received his certificate as winner of the North Rhine-Westphalia Guild from Dr. Norbert Walter-Borjans, Finance Minister of the NRW State. The WDR presenter, Michaela Padberg, carried out an interview with the young mechatronic engineer on stage.

However, this ceremonial event was not the end for Stefan Schmeink: at the beginning of November, he competed in a performance competition at national level. Here, the young man reeled in fourth place, once again like his brother who two years ago had likewise come fourth at national level.

Colleagues at the AGRAVIS Technik AGRAVIS Technik branch in Steinheim are so proud of his success. It was also here that Rudolf Düwel had prepared Tobias Schmeink for the competition. In the meantime Tobias Schmeink has completed his Masters in Agricultural and Construction Mechatronic Engineering.

"For us at AGRAVIS Technik Saltenbrock GmbH AGRAVIS Technik Saltenbrock GmbH and particularly for our branch in Steinheim it is a great honour to produce a state winner for the second time," exclaims the Managing Director of AGRAVIS Technik Saltenbrock GmbH, Wilhelm Jürgens. "The commitment, which the young man exhibits and the excellent work our instructors provide on-site, have once again paid off."
