Eurotier 2016: "Made in Germany" is highly regarded
Exporting and the market opportunities it generates are a major priority for growing companies. This is also true for AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG, which is opening up new markets through its export activities abroad and expanding existing markets in third countries by adding product segments. The company regards itself as an international company with firmly established regional roots.

AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG has continuously stepped up its activities in recent years with its companies Crystalyx Products , VitaVis , Hamburger Leistungsfutter and Höveler Spezialfutterwerke , particularly in the area of special products for animals. "The agricultural industry abroad is showing a strong interest in innovative products that promote the growth and sustained health of livestock," explains Reinhard Pröbsting, Managing Director of Crystalyx Products GmbH. In particular, reducing the use of medicine by using vitalising animal feed supplements that meet specific needs is an issue for the livestock industry worldwide. The AGRAVIS Group now exports its specialist products to over 30 countries, and does business outside the European Union and beyond Eastern Europe. Talks are currently under way with representatives from Iran, Egypt, Jordan, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Ghana.
Crystalyx popular in developing countries
"'Made in Germany' is recognised internationally as a mark of high quality. Our products have proved very successful in the stables and as a result, demand for them is high." In particular, the Crystalyx lick block is very popular among customers in third countries. The demand for hygiene products and other special feed products is also increasing.
Specialised field sales staff currently deal exclusively with export business, supported by existing internal sales staff. As the team has grown, so have the language skills – between them, employees can speak Russian, Polish, Italian, Chinese, Romanian, Turkish, Hungarian, Persian, French, Spanish and English. This is partly to do with creating trust, but it also means misunderstandings can be avoided if the same language is spoken along the entire chain, says Wortmann – especially as this makes it much easier for products requiring lots of advice to be established in "other" markets.
Customers from abroad have their own point of contact
Export topics will also play a major role at Eurotier, which will be held in Hanover from 15 to 18 November. At the AGRAVIS stand J05 in hall 20, a dedicated contact point and area for exchanging information are planned for potential partners and customers from abroad. The employees of Höveler Spezialfutter GmbH on stand K13 (hall 20) and Hamburger Leistungsfutter on stand C22 (hall 20) are also prepared for trade visitors from abroad.
