XXXLandtechnik open days at AGRAVIS Technik in Meppen
The world of farm machinery has found a home, says the motto of this year’s open days (Saturday 27 February and Sunday 28 February from 10 am to 6 pm) at AGRAVIS Technik in Meppen-Versen. And it’s a very special event, with over 20,000 visitors expected to converge on the Emsland region from Germany and elsewhere. Why? Because this year’s open days will feature the XXXLandtechnik show – Germany’s biggest in-house dealers’ exhibition – with the restructured companies of the AGRAVIS Technik group in Meppen showcasing their products.

Since January, the two AGRAVIS Technik companies BvL, with its core brand Claas plus supporting product range, and Münsterland-Ems, with its core brand AGCO/Fendt and Valtra plus supporting product range, have both been domiciled in Meppen. Also located there are the AGRAVIS Technik Center GmbH, specialists in used equipment sales, and the subsidiary TecVis GmbH, where the municipal and small equipment business is concentrated.
All four companies will be presenting their spectrum of products and model lines at the XXXLandtechnik show. Visitors can look forward to a large display of new and used machinery occupying an exhibition space of 35,000 square metres, 18,000 of which are under cover.. AGRAVIS Technik will have more than 800 machines on display in the outdoor areas and exhibition halls, including combine harvesters, shredders and tractors, as well as equipment for tillage, fertilising and crop spraying across a range of prices and performance specifications. Quality-tested used equipment will include tractors, combine harvesters, forage harvesters and equipment for transportation, potato harvesting and crop spraying. The farm machinery show will be complemented by a display of small-scale and garden equipment, with everything from chain saws and ride-on lawnmowers to sweepers and snow ploughs.
The show aims to appeal to visitors of all ages as well as professionals and machinery fans from the surrounding business area from Dörpen to Borken, Coesfeld and Ascheberg through to Olfen. Families can look forward to an attractive array of activities and stalls, including face painting, a bouncy castle, and the chance to buy decorative accessories for the home and garden. Socially, the centre of attention will be on the ‘kitchen workshop’, where visitors can enjoy tea, coffee and cakes and buy home-made jams and liqueurs as well as local sausage and cheese specialities to take home.
On Saturday, an early evening drink will be available, with the ceremonial tapping of the beer barrel taking place at 5.30. Guests can then enjoy hearty food, 150 litres of free beer and live music in the marquee. The evening will progress seamlessly into the ‘Farmers’ Power Party’ with DJ Ralf starting at 9.30 pm.
AGRAVIS Technik Meppen is situated in the Euro-Industriepark on the A31 motorway, Meppen-Nord exit. Parking is available on the premises of Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers. From there, a bus shuttle service will be in operation from 10 am to 6 pm on both days.
