Further training at Haus Düsse
More than 40 people participated in the further training programme of North Rhine-Westphalia's Chamber of Agriculture supported by AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG. The training focused on how the current new legislation for the fertiliser regulation can be implemented in everyday practice at feed businesses. In particular, measures to reduce nutrient excretion (nitrogen (N)/phosphorus (P)), the enhancement of feed efficiency and feed hygiene were covered.

Bernhard Walgern, Product Manager for Pigs at AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG, explained how nutrient excretion can be reduced while maintaining the same high quality of animals by using new, optimised premixes such as OlymPig. Dr. Sabine Rahn then emphasised the importance of feed hygiene. At the end of the seminar, all participants agreed that feed with greatly reduced N and P levels can be achieved with sound professional advice.
