Kempkes is a manager with experience on the international scene. He has been active in various managing functions in national and international companies in the agrarian and nutritional businesses for more than 20 years.
Franz-Josef Holzenkamp is the chairperson of the supervisory board at AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG. He goes on record as saying that "we are glad we got Mr. Kempkes on board for AGRAVIS as a manager with his international experience and a lot of expertise" on the sidelines of the general meeting of shareholders of the company in Hamburg.
Christoph Kempkes is following Thorsten Pogge who will be managing the business of Ceravis AG in future, as announced AGRAVIS' general meeting of shareholders in Hamburg. DAVA AGRAVIS INTERNATIONAL – joint venture of AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG with its Danish business partner Vestjyllands Andel and Danish Agro – is using Ceravis AG to focus the agricultural trade activity taken on by Getreide AG. Altogether, they encompass nine companies and about 60 locations, primarily in Schleswig-Holstein, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Saxony-Anhalt and Saxony. The cartel office has given green light for this deal.
Pogge will function as the CEO at Ceravis and he will be accompanied by Henrik Stilund on the managing board because he will be the expert in raw materials taking on the position of COO at the Danish DAVA. The appointment of Christoph Kempkes ensures a smooth transition in the managing board of AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG.
