The new company is called H. Schlötelburg GmbH. Gerrit Schlötelburg remains the majority shareholder.
The haulier Schlötelburg GmbH is responsible for transporting 300,000 tonnes of mixed feed from the north west region. Both companies decided to take this step in order to be able to operate their fleet even more effectively and efficiently.
Almost 90 percent of the new company's transports will be loaded at the AGRAVIS mixed feed plants in Oldenburg and Leer and transported to the surrounding agricultural companies. Synergies in planning and in route optimization are achieved as a result of the merger of the two fleet. "Optimizations can also be triggered in personnel planning and vehicle capacities," reports Thomas König, Head of transport at AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG.
The central planning for the current total of 17 vehicles is performed at the AGRAVIS mixed feed plant in Oldenburg. This creates a direct connection between fleet planning and plant planning. Modern IT systems support the planners in their daily planning of the roughly 40,000 shipments per year. All vehicles are fitted with location and tracking & tracing systems.
Going forward, the company will be managed by the two directors Gerrit Schlötelburg and Bernd Pusch from AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG. "We gave this step some very careful consideration," says Gerrit Schlötelburg. The company saw a strategic cooperation with AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG as a giant opportunity for the future. But he places great emphasis on one thing: "Despite the cooperation with AGRAVIS, the character of the family company will remain."
