Newtec West GmbH obtains Horsch distribution rights

The weighting is over: Newtec West GmbH Newtec West GmbH now owns the sales rights for Horsch machines in the territory between Hamelin and Magdeburg in an east-west direction and between Wittingen to the north and Seesen to the south.

"In the last week we have been able to clarify all the relevant contractual matters," reports Jochen Etzold happily, head of the Newtec Branch in Peine. In cooperation with the Newtec location in Hagenah, where there were already sales rights all the way to the North Sea, the Newtec West territory will now be supplied with Horsch machines – in wholesale with six partner dealers as well as in direct business with customers. "Our aim is to develop more partner dealers," explains Jürgen Schneider, Director of Newtec West GmbH. In the east of the sales area, Newtec is currently working with Mager & Wedemeyer in Klötze, with ASF Agrar-Service and Handels-GmbH in Flessau, Mewes Landmaschinen in Güsen, Schröder in Langenweddingen and with Landtechnik Langeln GmbH. In the west of the sales area there is a partnership with Steinbrink Landtechnik in Bremke-Gronau.

As the central Horsch specialist for the region, the agricultural technology site in Peine, which opened in spring 2014, is also being upgraded. Staff numbers are set to increase from 20 to 25 by the end of the year. "We are looking for staff for the spare parts business, the workshop and for sales", reports Jochen Etzold. An attractive range of products pertaining to the New Holland main brand New Holland main brand and the distribution rights for Horsch are one thing. In order to acquire potential new customers, however, Jochen Etzold is also focusing on additional availability outside normal business hours and on friendly contact. The claim of the entire AGRAVIS Technology Group, "Service is our field", will therefore also play a vital role at the Newtec site in Peine.

A great deal has been happening in structural terms at the 4.6 hectare site on Lehmkuhlenweg in the last few months. A 1,300 square-metre workshop, an exhibition hall of more than 3,000 square metres, including classrooms, a 1,000 square-metre spare parts currently being built, as well as a hall for accessories with heavy-load shelving, guarantee efficient work processes. "In addition, we are still preparing the outside space for machine display; we want to build a hanging display and we also want to improve the entrance area," is how Jochen Etzold reports on the upcoming projects.
