Hygiene as an important factor
Hygiene and cleanliness are top priorities in modern animal husbandry. A lack of hygiene leads to an increasing diversity of germs and drives up the total bacterial load in a short space of time. This puts a considerable strain on your animals' immune system and, in the worst case, can lead to performance-reducing diseases. Therefore, clean and disinfect your stables thoroughly and regularly to prevent pathogens from spreading in the first place.
Cleaning stables
For disinfection to be effective, you must first clean your barn thoroughly. This is because the pathogens that cause transmissible diseases are often found in fat and protein films. However, these cannot simply be removed with a pressure washer and disinfectants cannot penetrate them.

- Stall out animals
- Carry out preparatory work (e.g. remove movable equipment and sweep out the barn)
- Soak stall via soaking system
- Lather the barn with a 1-2 per cent solution of StallClean Basis or StallClean Profi shortly before high-pressure cleaning
- Thoroughly clean the barn with a high-pressure cleaner
