Raiffeisen Bio-Brennstoffe GmbH certified for wood briquettes
With immediate effect, Raiffeisen Bio-Brennstoffe GmbH can offer customers ENplus A1-certified premium hardwood briquettes under its own RBrik and fidibrik branches. The AGRAVIS affiliate is thus one of five certified companies in Germany currently selling this standardised and very high-quality fuel. The aim of the certification programme is to supply consumers with high-quality wood briquettes, which may be freely burnt with low emissions in line with Germany’s strict regulations on air pollution control.

“For us, it was taken as read that we would also have our hardwood briquettes ENplus A1 certified,” says Oliver Korting, Managing Director of Raiffeisen Bio-Brennstoffe GmbH. As a certified wood pellet dealer, the company is well aware that customers value the demonstrable quality of the products and the supply chain. The certification programme for ENplus briquettes, developed by the German Pellet Institute (Deutsches Pelletinstitut) together with producers and retailers, will also ensure the safety and quality of this fuel, contends Korting. Amongst other things, the seal of approval regulates the net calorific value of the product, the water content and the (very low) permissible ash content.
Produced in Germany, the hardwood briquettes are pressed using regional, untreated raw materials with no added binding agents. The ENplus A1 seal of approval guarantees efficient, environmentally sound combustion. The smooth and very firm surface of the briquettes ensures even flame formation and a longer-lasting burn. RBrik and fidibrik can be used for additional heating or combustion only. Two versions are available, with and without an air hole. The wood briquettes can be obtained directly from Raiffeisen Bio-Brennstoffe GmbH and affiliated partners.
