Marketplace of Opportunities secures future viability

What will the Raiffeisen Markets’ Raiffeisen Markets’ position be in terms of future viability, concerning rapid digital changes? This question was the focal point of this year’s joint conference for TERRES M+C GmbH, an AGRAVIS subsidiary company, in Willingen, Sauerland, which ended yesterday (1 February).

The two-day specialist event for cooperation partners had another good turnout, with 380 participants. The ‘Marketplace of Opportunities’ was an invitation to an informative wander around nine promotion stands and demonstrated in great detail the network of solutions with which Raiffeisen Markets Raiffeisen Markets enjoy daily success. The specialist input from experts such as Dr Cay von Fournier, Professor Utho Creusen and Professor Hendrik Schröder also attracted keen interest from managing directors and market managers, as challenges such as digitalisation, and the profound changes that come with it, also affect the Raiffeisen Markets. “It is becoming more and more important to regularly discuss the future of the brand ‘Raiffeisen Market – we live and breathe customer proximity’. We are already offering plenty of useful tools in order to make long-term preparations for the future, and these should be used more intensively in order to remain competitive,” explained Thomas Wiesner, AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG's head of the Markets section.

As the 2016 business year had been successful for the AGRAVIS Markets section and cooperation partners, 2017 will mainly involve bringing together the aspects of stationary trade and the digital world, expanding the own branches range and the definition of mutual values within the network. The continued expansion of the cooperative association is also on the agenda. 16 new Raiffeisen Markets have joined the cooperation over the past year. “We want to establish this development in 2017,” said Wiesner.
