AGRAVIS Technik Heide-Altmark GmbH: Königslutter victorious
AGRAVIS Technik Heide-Altmark GmbH is becoming a regular attendee at the prize-giving ceremony for the Agricultural Technology Service Award. Once again, a company site graced the stage at the award ceremony in January 2017: The Königslutter branch scooped the honour of being named the Northern Region (Schleswig-Holstein, Lower Saxony, Hamburg, Bremen) winner during a gala event held as part of the Landtechnische Unternehmertage (Agricultural Machinery Contractors’ Conference) in the Würzburg Congress Centre. The Stendal branch celebrated a national win and a regional win just one year ago, in 2016.

“This industry award is very important in the farm machinery trade, as it is given by an independent and objective jury in recognition of continuing efforts to provide optimum service for all customers. We are delighted that our efforts have been recognised,” says Wolfgang Diedrich, the Managing Director of AGRAVIS Technik Heide-Altmark GmbH. “Efficient service is becoming an increasingly important competitive factor in the farm machinery sector,” adds fellow Managing Director Jörg Denekas. AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG Technik sites live up to the motto “ Service is our speciality” in exemplary fashion.
A worthwhile labour of love
Applying for the Agricultural Technology Service Award requires considerable effort by the branches involved. “The checklist involves 450 questions covering every aspect of the company. Silke Reinbeck, who was responsible for compiling the Königslutter site’s application, explains that “Many of the questions involve writing answers that are several sentences long.” Answers must also be substantiated by relevant supporting documents.
“The award encourages us to continue investing extensively in staff training, maintaining modern, highly effective locations and our comprehensive range of services aligned to customer demand,” explains Gerd Schulz, Managing Director of AGRAVIS Technik Holding GmbH.
17 employees and plenty of space
The Königslutter site currently employs 17 staff, including one apprentice. Its main suppliers are Fendt, Krone, Amazone, JCB and Rauch. The spare parts warehouse sales area and the foreman’s office and sales offices were rebuilt several years ago and the former AGRAVIS hardware store was converted into a centre of expertise for the JCB brand complete with a training facility capable of accommodating 50 trainees and a harvesting machinery workshop. Two workshops covering 1,225 m² provide sufficient space for harvesting and agricultural machines.
Prestigious industry award
The Agricultural Technology Service Award was inaugurated by the trade journal Agrartechnik (published by Deutscher Landwirtschaftsverlag) in 2001. It is a prestigious prize in the industry and encourages farm machinery specialists throughout Germany to examine and improve their customer services on an ongoing basis. The competition picks out the best-performing farm machinery company and is the only market test of its kind in Europe which is manufacturer-independent.
