Municipal equipment trend: A quiet, electronic, emission-free start to 2017
Quiet in operation, powerful and emission-free – the innovative small electrical and battery-powered appliances soon to be sold by regional AGRAVIS-Technik companies will be the latest trend. Sales advisers from different manufacturers familiarised 20 trainees from various AGRAVIS Technik companies with the advantages of their products as part of a special training course. There is a trend towards electrical and cordless power tools – whether it be in agriculture or landscaping or even in one’s own garden.

“Battery-powered tools are a new market where there is strong demand” stresses Dieter Ressemann, Sales Manager for Municipal Equipment at TecVis GmbH. Appliances that use lead-acid or lithium-ion batteries do not produce noise or emissions of any kind and can therefore be used in tents or confined spaces where exhaust gases are banned. Power outputs, hydraulics and angles of attack are just as good as those of other appliances of this type and it takes just an hour to charge them.
The 200 series Avant multifunction loader with hand controls suitable for disabled operators is another – non-electronic – innovative product. Disabled operators can control this loader by joystick and can therefore continue performing tasks around the house or farmyard.
