- Symbolic key hand-over in Melle-Wellingholzhausen: from left: Friedbert Vollmers, Managing Director at AGRAVIS Technik Lenne-Lippe GmbH, Operations Managers Torsten Panhorst, Andreas Bröker and Henrik Kuhlage (both from AGRAVIS Bauservice). At the almost 8,000 square metre location in Melle-Wellingholzhausen, AGRAVIS Technik Lenne-Lippe GmbH can adequately present their product portfolio.
After over 30 years, AGRAVIS Technik left the industrial estate in Halle-Gartnisch in North-Rhine Westphalia and relocated 20 kilometres away in Lower Saxony. The company is now located right next to their AGRAVIS Technik Saltenbrock GmbH colleagues.
Friedbert Vollmers, Managing Director of AGRAVIS Lenne-Lippe GmbH, emphasised the appreciation the company holds for the Machinery division in his short opening speech: AGRAVIS is committed to agricultural machinery and supports investment such as this in larger and more modern locations. We will fill the location with life."
Andreas Loewel, Managing Director of Agco Deutschland GmbH, indicated how important it is for a manufacturer that the partner workshops satisfy the latest requirements: "The partners must keep up with the technology, otherwise there will be chaos in the sales region." Both the mayor and the village mayor of Melle-Wellingholzhausen, Reinhard Scholz and Bernd Gieshoidt, stressed the importance of large industrial settlements, such as the relocation of AGRAVIS Technik. Gieshoidt: "The AGRAVIS corporation has a very good reputation in Wellingholzhausen."
The move had become necessary because the leased facilities in Halle-Gartnisch did not offer any expansion potential. Furthermore, the re-organisation of the AGRAVIS Technik businesses in the Westphalia region and in western Lower Saxony with effect of 1 January 2016 came into the equation.
Customers and interested parties used both of the open-house days at the weekend to take a look at and poke around the new location and the machinery exhibition; they were also able to enjoy tours and a bargain market.
