AGRAVIS and RWZ Rhein-Main eG in strategic alliance
For many years, both AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG and RWZ Rhein-Main eG have been active as central, high-yielding cooperative companies within the agricultural trading sector for farmers and the rural area. Both companies have a strong position in their core business areas and face increasing competition.

"Both companies have taken part in opportunities for cooperation and alliances with each other and with third-party companies to strengthen their performance and competitiveness over the long term", explained AGRAVIS Supervisory Board chairman Franz-Josef Holzenkamp.
Positioning both companies better within the competition
For the future, both AGRAVIS and RWZ agree that concrete analysis should take place in selected fields of activity whether, and how, performance and competitiveness of both companies can be enhanced through closer cooperation. "This occurs in the form of a corporate alliance whilst also simultaneously ensuring the independence of both companies. This also happens with the intention of strengthening the relevant strategic course and to better position both companies within the competition", said Dr Clemens Große Frie, Chairman of the Board of Directors at AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG.
AGRAVIS Member of the Board of Directors Kempkes moves to RWZ
To underline the intention of this strategic partnership, the Supervisory Board of AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG will enter a mutual termination agreement with AGRAVIS Member of the Board of Directors Christoph Kempkes (48) on 31st May 2016 so that Kempkes can become active as Chairman of RWZ Rhein-Main eG as of 1st July 2016. This decision has been made with mutual and positive agreement between the Supervisory Boards of both companies.
