Customers get wood pellets quickly and reliably
The infrastructure for the distribution of wood pellets in east Westphalia and the surrounding regions of Lower Saxony has been improved further on the trading side. Bevermann Handels GmbH from Versmold, Behrenswerth Energieservice GmbH from Hilter, and Raiffeisen Bio-Brennstoffe GmbH (RBB) based in Münster now work together closely in handling wood pellets.

"We now operate a new warehouse in Dissen in the Teutoburg Forest", reported Oliver Korting, Managing Director of Raiffeisen Bio-Brennstoffe GmbH. From there, customers within the region are quickly supplied with loose wood pellets of ENplus A1 quality.
With the warehouse in Dissen, Raiffeisen Bio-Brennstoffe GmbH has expanded its regional warehouse capacities to approximately 15,000 tonnes in seven locations between Kiel and Rommerskirchen. Storage options are also available at pellet manufacturers. RBB works together with five important, powerful producers. "Customers across the entire business area can rely on high security of supply", underlined Oliver Korting. "No-one has to worry that their heating remains off."
Bevermann Handels GmbH is the owner of the 6,000 m² warehouse in Dissen. "Our company has been active in the fuel industry since 1955", explained proprietor Heinz Josef Bevermann. Mineral oil and coal are also part of the product range alongside wood pellets, but soil and mulch for gardening and landscaping are also provided. Raiffeisen Bio-Brennstoffe GmbH (RBB) is a long-term lessor of 800 m² of the existing building.
The affiliated company of AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG has been in existence since 2011 and is, in association with cooperative partners, a powerful provider within the wood pellets sector with the "RPellets" brand. The pellets are sold across the northern half of Germany. Besides AGRAVIS, other partners to date include AGRI V Raiffeisen eG in Raesfeld, the Emscher-Lippe eG, Hohe Mark Hamaland eG, and Haltern eG cooperatives as well as Raiffeisen Sauerland Hellweg Lippe eG as from the beginning of this year. Raiffeisen Bio-Brennstoffe GmbH invested in equipping the pellet warehouse at the Dissen site, principally in sieving technology and installing the conveyor belts.
On the one hand, Raiffeisen Bio-Brennstoffe GmbH serves end users, but on the other hand they also co-ordinate central tasks such as purchasing and wholesale distribution for their associates and partners. In addition, it is also responsible for quality assurance. Behrenswerth Energieservice GmbH also benefits from this arrangement. The company was founded in 1908 and is now a modern mineral oil dealer and successful energy service provider in the Osnabrück, Emsland, and east Westphalia regions.
Behrenswerth, an affiliate company of AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG, took over the wood pellet branch of the agri-trade company Apenbrink & Co. in Bielefeld in summer 2015. The activities at the former Apenbrink location in Bielefeld-Jöllenbeck were consolidated with commissioning of the common warehouse in Dissen. "Dissen has everything required of a modern pellet warehouse", explained Managing Director Rainer Behrenswerth. In addition, there are also considerable logistical advantages that benefit customers.
