Established in 2011, Raiffeisen Bio-Brennstoffe GmbH (RBB) is a powerful service provider for the wood pellet, wood chip and biomass business in collaboration with cooperative partners. The products are sold throughout north Germany – from North Rhine-Westphalia right up to the Danish border. Besides AGRAVIS, other partners to date include AGRI V Raiffeisen eG in Raesfeld and the Emscher-Lippe eG, Hohe Mark Hamaland eG and Haltern eG cooperatives via their joint company, Raiffeisen Handel Service Bioenergie GmbH & Co. KG.
A powerful partner
"We are delighted to be able to welcome Raiffeisen Sauerland Hellweg Lippe eG to Raiffeisen Bio-Brennstoffe GmbH as a further powerful partner," says Managing Director Oliver Korting. "We have worked closely and well with this cooperative in the sale of wood pellets in recent years. As such, their joining the company is merely the next logical step in further development of this cooperation." Raiffeisen Sauerland Hellweg Lippe eG operates 17 sites in Sauerland, the district of Soest, Unna and Hamm as well as in the south of the districts of Warendorf and Gütersloh.
New vehicles and warehouse
"Besides the classic heating fuel business, the trade in wood pellets has become increasingly important in recent years," explains Georg Hochstein, Member of the Management Team at Raiffeisen Sauerland Hellweg Lippe eG. Hochstein is now also a Managing Director of Raiffeisen Bio-Brennstoffe GmbH alongside Oliver Korting and Günter Hessing.
The new partner brings two silo vehicles for the transport of pellets and a pellets warehouse in Bremke-Eslohe to RBB. The warehouse has a capacity of1,500 tons. On average, Raiffeisen Sauerland Hellweg Lippe eG sells around 9,000 tons of pellets per year.
Entry of the new partner may yield further logistics synergies for Raiffeisen Bio-Brennstoffe GmbH. The decentralised warehouse structure and dense distribution network in which countless cooperation partners are involved ensures the rapid and reliable delivery of products to customers.
