Elbers agricultural and building materials wholesaler: donation to go directly to the work with refugees
Over the past year, the plight of refugees has also touched the employees of agricultural and building materials wholesaler Theodor Elbers GmbH & Co. KG, a subsidiary of AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG. The team working at the company sites in Münster, Lüdinghausen and Dülmen therefore resolved to abstain from an "official" Christmas party in 2015 and to instead donate the € 2,500 set aside for this.

- Herbert Schmid, Managing Director of Theodor Elbers GmbH & Co. KG, handed the donation of € 2,500 over to the chairman of Flüchtlingshilfe Senden, Dr. Hans Meckling (left).
"We did not want to approach a major national organisation but rather to provide targeted support for the work of a voluntary organisation in our local region. It is important to us that the employees know where the money goes and what is achieved with it," emphasised Managing Director Herbert Schmid.
The donation went to the organisation "Flüchtlingshilfe Senden", which has built up a local network and provides many offers of support for the integration of refugees living in Senden and to help improve their situation. Specifically, the money from Theodor Elbers GmbH & Co. KG is to go towards the work of the bicycle workshop, language courses and the organisation of get-togethers with refugees.
