CDU member of the state parliament Christina Schulze Föcking and Wilhelm Brüggemeier, deputy chairman of the Westfälisch-Lippischer Landwirtschaftsverband were also present.
With 6,100 employees, AGRAVIS generates more than € 7 billion in revenue – primarily in the classic agricultural business with its livestock, crop and agricultural technology divisions. In the mixed feed division for which Leifker is responsible, annual production exceeded 4 million tons for the first time in 2014.
Laschet was visibly impressed by the broad portfolio AGRAVIS offers: "Agriculture is a sector very close to my heart that is a strong asset of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. With its upstream and downstream sectors, it is of particular macroeconomic importance in the Münsterland region." After his visit to AGRAVIS, Laschet continued on to the delegates conference of the Westfälisch-Lippischer Landwirtschaftsverband at Gut Havichhorst before concluding his time in Münster with a visit to WestfalenLand Fleischwaren GmbH.
