Behrenswerth expands sales business for wood pellets
The Behrenswerth Energieservice GmbH – an associated company of AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG – has expanded its sales business with wood pellets. After taking over the wood pellet branch of Landhandels Apenbrink & Co. in Bielefeld, the company with a long tradition that is domiciled in Hilter at the Teutoburger Wald is now doing even more business in Eastern Westphalia than before.

"The acquisition has provided us with the opportunity to cover a neighbouring region of our existing sales area even more intensely", explains director Rainer Behrenswerth. The former owner of Apenbrink, Dieter Schwarze, has withdrawn from business for reasons of age. The two employees who steer the pellet silo vehicles at Apenbrink where taken over by the new owner.
Rainer Behrenswerth is confident that the demand for the environmentally friendly energy source will continue to increase. Especially now in summer, the price level is attractive and in July ranged 6 percent below the previous year's value. In addition, higher government funding for pellet heaters has taken effect since April 2015.
Wood pellets are part of a wide range of energy sources for heating, driving and lubricating that are offered by Behrenswerth Energieservice GmbH. Apart from heating oil, motor fuels, bio motor fuels, bio fuels, lubricants and AdBlue, natural gas and electricity as grid-bound energies have in the meantime also become part of the product portfolio.
The company would like to continue its course for growth in the future. Customers can currently reach the Behrenswerth employees at the head office in Hilter as well as at the sales offices in Osnabrück, Bünde, Senden and now also in Bielefeld. "Optimum customer care and consultation is the credo of our committed team", emphasises Rainer Behrenswerth.
