Vitallisation concept for poultry: synergy effects of essential oils

For a couple of years already, essential oils in the form of menthol and eucalyptus have proven of value in the Miravit vitalisation concept for poultry Miravit vitalisation concept for poultry as ingredients of Miravit Eukavit liquid for improving the stable climate and disinfecting the breathing air. Apart from improving the stable climate, synergy effects of these essential oils can help to stabilise the poultry's organism in stress situations and during climatic changes.

In the field of secondary plant substances, cinnamon, oregano and aniseed oil have proven successful in the further approach of stabilising the physiological digestion in stress situations. These essential oils are assigned sanitising and appetising properties. Only the combination of the substances contained in Miravit Eubisan 3000 - cinnamon, oregano and aniseed oil as well as citric acid - and the individual concentration of the different substances jointly create the prerequisite for the successful intensity of this effect. In addition, stimulation of the taste receptors can lead to an increased consumption of feed. In addition, stabilising the physiological digestion in stress situations can optimise the resorption of nutrients.

The vitalisation concept with Eubisan 3000 has already proven its worth in the following approaches:

  • Turkey hen: During week six, add 300 millilitres to 1,000 litres of drinking trough water on three days. From week seven, add 250 millilitres to 1,000 litres of drinking trough water on three days every two weeks.
  • Laying hen: During weeks 21 to 24, add 250 millilitres to 1,000 litres of drinking trough water on three days a week. Thereafter, add 200 millilitres to 1,000 litres of drinking trough water on three days every four weeks.
  • Broiler: Add 200 millilitres to 1,000 litres of drinking trough water on fattening days eight to ten. Add 250 millilitres to 1,000 litres of drinking trough water from fattening day 20 to 22 and 250 millilitres to 1,000 litres of drinking trough water on day two to four after pre-removal.
