AGRAVIS subsidiaries Newtec and Schotte going forwards into a shared future
Convincing products, first-class service and expert advice: With these advantages, Newtec West Vertriebsgesellschaft für Agrartechnik mbH and Franz Schotte GmbH will now win together. Newtec has purchased all the shares in the traditional company. Schotte GmbH currently employs 24 people, including two apprentices, and has annual sales of Euro 9 million. The employees are being transferred so that the customers will retain the contact partners they know and trust.

"We decided to take this step in order to gain a position of strength for our company for the future challenges of the market," stresses Dirk Irmscher, director of Schotte. "Newtec West is a high-performance partner, we want to grow together with and with which we can expand our business in neighbouring markets." In view of the increasing competitive pressure and a difficult market environment, it is sensible to combine powers, explains Irmscher. Equally, Helmut Heinemann and Willi Pape will remain in responsible positions in the company, which will continue to trade under the name Schotte.
Newtec West GmbH, which has nine sites and more than 190 employees, with sales of more than Euro 70 million, is a subsidiary of AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG. "The purchase of Schotte GmbH now gives us the opportunity to to fill a vacancy in Eichsfeld," explains Newtec director Jürgen Schneider looking at the sales area in the south-east of Lower Saxony.
The new owner will continue the successful business of the agricultural machine dealer Schotte at the 6,600 square-metre Schöneberger Strasse in Duderstadt. Apart from the agricultural machine trade and the communal technology, one of the company's most important pillars is the dairy technology. "Not forgetting that barn technology offers considerable potential for developing our market position," explain Dirk Irmscher and Jürgen Schneider.
"Of course we will also use synergy effects," says Jürgen Schneider. But the transitional phase will be in small steps. Right from the start, the brand portfolio of Schotte will be enhanced with the entire New Holland range of products. As a result, a combine harvester from New Holland is already available for customer demonstrations in the upcoming season.
