AGRAVIS is playing top league in training
You are playing top level football and you may even be dreaming of a career as a professional. But in addition to supporting their dreams, the SC Preußen Münster sports club also supports its young players in completing vocational training outside of football. "That is of particular importance to us," emphasises Bernd Niewöhner, the club's youth coordinator. "Often a serious injury is enough to put a quick end to a football career." This is why the sports club was much obliged when on Monday night, the agricultural trading company AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG informed the U 19, U 17 and U 16 players on the wide range of training opportunities available at the agricultural trading company.

Knut Fischer, AGRAVIS training manager, is sure "we are definitely playing in the top league with what we offer young people in terms of apprenticeships and entry opportunities." Beyond this, as a major employer in the region, AGRAVIS is also aware of its overall social responsibility to offer training opportunities to young people. The AGRAVIS corporate group has more than 6,000 employees, 533 of which are currently undergoing training. This corresponds to a current training ratio of roughly 9 percent.
Fischer emphasised that AGRAVIS would be glad to support young football players from Preußen Münster in their quest for an apprenticeship. To start with, applicant training courses could be held, where students can learn a lot about their own strengths. In addition, AGRAVIS offers work placements to make sure prospective apprentices can already beforehand gain an impression whether a particular apprenticeship would really be the right choice for them.
The range of training opportunities at the second largest German agricultural trading company is wide. It extends from commercial or chemical-pharmaceutical careers to careers in the industrial-technical field as well as dual study programmes. A total of 16 different training courses are available to choose from. "With this range we also support the young footballers from Preußen Münster," said Fischer. Since the start of the current season, AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG has also become the shirt sponsor for all of the club's youth teams .
Marietheres Sollik (dual study programme business information technology), Felix Aundrup (wholesale and export merchant) and Marius Ruberg (bachelor of business administrator and operations/wholesale and export merchant) gave the young footballers an account of their current training at AGRAVIS. This was followed by a guided tour through the feed mill at the Industrieweg address to give them a hands-on impression of various vocations at AGRAVIS. Simon Scherder from the professional team of the Preußen sports club praised the initiative undertaken for the up-and-coming football players when he says "these events give you first-hand information while allowing you to get to know people who might be your future contacts in the company."
