Vovis Automobile GmbH Adds Volkswagen to Its Brand Portfolio
Vovis Automobile GmbH is adding the VW brand to its portfolio. This is being made possible by the acquisition of Auto-Krause GmbH in Dülmen as of 1 November 2014. "This is a further step forward for us", says Tim Papenfort, who, together with Jan-Bernd Kappelhoff, is joint managing director of Vovis Automobile GmbH, when commenting on the recent expansion.

The subsidiary of AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG will henceforth offer vehicles from Volvo, Fiat, Suzuki, Fiat Professional and now VW. "That is a broad and highly attractive range. We can once again significantly expand our customer base through the inclusion of VW", says Jan-Bernd Kappelhoff. Both parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. Only the Dülmen site of the Auto Kraus Group is involved in the takeover.
The car dealership am Quellberg will trade under the name Vovis in future. Its 30 employees are being taken on. "Existing customers in Dülmen will thus keep their familiar contact persons", says Tim Papenfort. The site, he says, will also convince in future by virtue of qualified car purchase advice and a reliable service. The extensive offering of new and used cars in Dülmen will be presented on a plot area of 5,000 square metres. Additionally, there is a modern workshop of around 800 square metres. Tim Claespeter will take over management of the centre.
By taking over the car dealership in Dülmen, Vovis Automobile GmbH underscores its sustained growth trajectory. Only last year, the Schulze-Elberg car dealership in Hamm was added to the branch network. This means that, as of November, Vovis will have sites in Münster, Steinfurt, Greven, Hamm and Dülmen. "AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG, as the parent company, has taken the conscious decision to expand Vovis Automobile GmbH's regional market position systematically. The fact that an opportunity to include VW in the portfolio now presented itself provides significant backing for this course", Tim Papenfort is pleased to add.
The beginnings of the Vovis car dealership now date back 50 years. The first Volvo vehicles were sold in Münster at that time under the aegis of WCG, a predecessor of AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG.
